Acaa Agreement Ukraine
Instead of a “duty-free regime”, the Ukrainian government would now prefer the establishment of a “visa-free industrial regime”, i.e. the conclusion of a conformity assessment and acceptance agreement for industrial products (ACAA) with the EU, which would grant unilateral preferences to Ukrainian companies. Following the conclusion of an ACAA agreement, Ukrainian producers would no longer have to obtain certification of conformity from notified bodies established in the EU, as the EU would recognise certificates of conformity issued in Ukraine. The CBAA agreement would cover 27 sectors listed in the annex to the Association Agreement. At present, Israel is the only country to have signed an ACAA agreement with the European Union. . . .
